Digital x-rays emit less radiation than conventional x-rays and use smooth digital sensors instead of sharp x-rays film. Because digital x-rays don’t require lengthy chemical processing, the images are available on our computer screen within seconds.
We use standard and panoramic (360°) digital x-rays in most dental exams, because many serious problems with the teeth and facial bones can’t be seen during a standard visual exam.
